Interview check-in

Your interview runs inside the ExcelHire Lockdown Interview app on your Mac. Install it first, then start the interview from this page.

Step 1: Install the app (first time only)

  1. Download the app using the button below.
  2. Open the downloaded file and drag the app into your Applications folder. Do not launch it from the downloaded file.
  3. Open the app from Applications. macOS will say it could not verify the app. Click Done.
  4. Open System Settings, choose Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom and click Open Anyway next to ExcelHire Lockdown Interview. Confirm with your password.
  5. Open the app from Applications once more and click Open. Then come back to this page.

Step 2: Get ready
  1. Save any work and close what you can now.
  2. Make sure your webcam and microphone are connected.
  3. Keep the Lockdown app open until you click Close Interview.
Step 3: Start

Clicking Start Interview opens the app. It will ask you to close every other application, then lock your Mac for the duration of the interview.

The app did not open. Download ExcelHire Lockdown Interview, drag it to Applications, open it from there, allow it under System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway, then click Start Interview again.
